Mindful Stories Privacy Policy

Welcome to Mindful Stories, created by Mixxsy Labs (a brand of Lisa Margle, sole proprietorship). We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your information. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data in the app.

Information We Collect

• Voice Recordings: When you record a story, your audio is processed by ElevenLabs to create a text transcription. The original audio is not shared in the app unless you choose to attach it when sharing to the community. 
• Transcribed Text: Your stories are converted to text and saved in your private “My Stories” area.
• Sharing Choices: If you share to the “Community Circles” area, you may provide a username (optional) or post anonymously. You can also choose whether to include your voice recording.
• Usage Data: We collect basic app usage information (e.g., number of recordings) to improve the app, but it is anonymized and not tied to your identity.

How We Use Your Information

• Transcription and Storage: Voice recordings are used to generate text, saved in “My Stories” for your access. Original audio is available with your saved stories in the “My Stories” after transcription. You may also opt to share it in the Community area (“Circles”).
• Community Sharing: Shared stories, with or without your username and voice, are displayed in the community area for others to view and comment on, based on your settings. You may also opt to keep saved stories fully private. Sharing to the in-app community is always optional.
• Improvement: Usage data helps us enhance features like AI prompts and community tools, keeping your privacy intact.

Your Choices and Control

• Privacy Options: You can keep stories private in “My Stories” or share to “Community Circles.” When sharing, you can:
  • Use a username or remain anonymous.
  • Include or omit your voice recording.
• Access: You can view, manage, and delete your stories in “My Stories” at any time.
• No External Sharing: Stories are only shared within the app and not sent outside currently.

Data Security

We use standard security measures, like encryption, to protect your data during transcription and storage. However, no system is fully secure, and we cannot guarantee complete protection.

Third-Party Services

• ElevenLabs: Our transcription partner processes your voice recordings. Their privacy policy applies, and we ensure audio is not retained unless you share it.
